Overview
Think you have what it takes to be a leader, thinker or even a doer. Do you feel you have ideas which can engage a technology community or have the drive to socialise amongst a commerce setting. At CCA we acknowledge we might not always be on the ball when it comes to connecting with our inner first year selves which is why we reach out to you guys for help. First year representatives are given the opportunity in being a first year’s voice amongst a young, fun, and dynamic team.
But that’s enough from me, why not hear it from the previous first year representatives.

Being a first year representative in CCA last year gave me the opportunity to be a part of an amazing committee, a group of people that were just as passionate as me about creating change. As a student studying commerce and IT, I gained the exposure to building industry connections early on through CCA’s amazing flagship events they held throughout the year. I also had the privilege to be a part of the publications sector of the committee where I took on several responsibilities such as working with my team to help build the careers guide, send out weekly newsletters and promote some of their amazing events. Following on from last year, I am glad to say that I am a full-time member of the publications team for 2020 and eagerly looking forward to what the year will bring!

Being a Jaffy rep at CCA was a phenomenal experience, as I was able to get a taste of some of the different teams within the club. Coming into first year, I was extremely clueless about the professional world, and joining the CCA family definitely helped me gain awareness of career related opportunities that are available. It was an amazing experience overall, great people, lots of learning, would recommend. -
